Comfy Outfit Ideas For New Mama’s

Hello Mama’s! I’m a new mama and I know that after having a baby and going through postpartum the last thing you want to do is dress up! Well at least that’s how it was for me! You’re sleep deprived and your on a mission to learn everything about your new little miracle and get in a routine. So the last thing you want to do is think of what to wear! So I am here to recommend one thing, and that is buying some new simple comfy items. I am sure it will make you feel better wearing something new while being comfortable. Because let’s be honest your body has changed and is changing so the best thing you can do is have something comfortable!

What I did before I had my son was order all these items off Aerie (American Eagle). They have the best loungewear and everything is at a good price plus they always have weekly deals where things are 40-50% off. Just keep an eye out before! I knew that I was NOT going to be wearing jeans any time soon! And if that’s your plan, get it girl!!! I just wanted to be comfortable. I ordered sweats, leggings, joggers, oversized sweaters, boyfriend tees, and lots lots of tank tops! And just some simple slip on shoes! The best part is grab some new jewelry, you can always dress up an outfit with a cute necklaces or earrings!

Lets start with some of my favorite lounge wear items from Aerie!!!

  1. Aerie Twill Cargo Joggers $29.97. These joggers are so comfortable but still very cute!
  2. Aerie Good Vibes Joggers Sweats (Camo) $23.97. I love love love anything camo! And these joggers are so cute! And I actually have the matching sweatshirt, so you can get the whole set!
  3. Offline Cropped Real Me Leggings (Camo) $23.97. Here’s another camo piece.. I know, like I said before I have obsession with camo. But these leggings are so comfy and it feels like you’re not even wearing anything! I have a lot of Aerie leggings and let me just say they are all so comfy!
  4. Aerie Boyfriend Oversized T-shirts $14.97. So I ordered a lot of these oversized boyfriend t-shirts in different colors because it’s super simple just to throw on with leggings, joggers, etc!
  5. Aerie Waffle Henley Long Sleeve T-Shirt $20.97. These long sleeves are light and comfy but also they button down so if you’re breastfeeding it makes it really simple and easy!
  6. Aerie No BS Waffle Henley Tank Top $14.97. So I ordered a bunch of tank tops because I had my son in the summer and it was easy to throw on with leggings and joggers during the day!
  7. Vans $55. (Come in different colors and styles) Slip on shoes make it so easy to run out the door to the doctors appointment, grocery store, etc!
  8. Nike $119. Okay, so workout shoes can be pricey but you can always find a good deal! Grab some new workout shoes because going on walks and getting out of the house will help you so much during your postpartum journey! I know it helped me a ton!
  9. Last thing is grab some new jewelry pieces! I know that putting on earrings, necklace, even lipgloss will make a new mama feel so much better!!

Favorite AMAZON items

I think we all love shopping on Amazon. I mean if you really need something you can order it and it’ll be at your door step in a day or two! Here are my current favorite Amazon pieces!

  1. Brand- Lecoumer Brown long sleeve flannel $32.99. It’s comfy, cute and warm! I think it’s a trendy piece that you can dress up with booties and skirt or make it comfy with cute leggings!
  2. Brand- JLCNCUE Women’s classic long sleeve green flannel $26.99. With this flannel, I ordered a bigger size so it could look over-sized!
  3. Red Carpet Manicure Gel Nail Polish set of 3 for $19.99. I love this brand of nail polish! I love doing my own nails and I have tried a bunch of different gel nail polish brands and for me this one last the longest! I highly recommend!
  4. Herschel Beanie $19.99. The beanie is so comfy! We already have a few of these in different colors!
  5. Momanda wire free maternity nursing bra $19.99. This nursing bra is so comfortable and cute! I feel like it’s pretty hard to find a cute nursing bra. And this one looks like a bralette.
  6. VIVIENFANG Oversized Rimless Aviators Sunglasses $12.70. These sunglasses look like they are name brand sunglasses but really they are so cheap. I love to have different sunnies when were out at the lake because if I drop them, I don’t feel bad about it!
  7. Amazon Essential Lightweight French Terry Full-Zip (yellow) $25. Such a comfy zip up and comes in so many different colors! It’s actually a men’s sweater and I ordered a size small and it’s a little oversized but super comfortable!!
  8. Stylle Big Square Polarized Oversized Sunglasses $14.99. I love these sunnies, these are my go to! Plus they are polarized!!!

Newborn Must Haves!

Hey guys! So I wanna share all the newborn must haves! I think that being a new mom sometimes you get lost in what you need and what you don’t! I know that every baby is so different and certain things work for some and some don’t. We personally have a pretty hard baby and by hard, I mean he hates sleep! And we’re dealing with that right now. We just started sleep training and I’m so excited about it but also little exhausted! But I”ll go into that later and make sure to write a post about our journey with you! Anyways, let’s get to the list!

  1. Mommy’s Bliss Gripe Water- This gripe water is amazing! I know that you can purchase this either on Amazon or Target! I know that there is ton of different gripe water brands! But this one worked for us! Honestly, it was a tremendous help!
  2. Mam Pacifiers- these pacifiers are great! For some reason a lot of babies love them! And that’s not only coming for me, I heard a lot of mama’s say the same thing! It’s easy for baby to keep them in their mouth and they have them in different age range. Before I had my son, I bought every kind of pacifier there was because I had NO CLUE! So save your time and money and get some of these!
  3. Munchkin Pacifier Wipes- Well let me just say that the pacifier is going to fall out of their mouth a lot! It’ll hit the floor a few times. And I know that you won’t be running to the sink every single time to wash so get these wipes! They are very helpful, especially if you’re out and about.
  4. Swaddles- Okay, so there are a ton of different swaddles, like Swaddleme or Halo sack swaddle, Love to dream swaddle. You will need a few swaddles. You can try different brands to see which ones you will like more but you will need a swaddles for the first three months! Becoming a mama I didn’t know how important it was to have your baby swaddled but it helps them sleep because its nice and tight and cozy, which mimics the womb.
  5. White noise machine- You can order one off amazon or grab one at target. We have one in our room and in his room. But also, get the MyBaby Sound Spa- on the go portable white noise machine. Because if you want to go on vacation or weekend gateway, it will save you! Plus it’s small and easy to pack!
  6. Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature Baby Bottle- If you’re breastfeeding and or giving the bottle, these work great. Especially for breastfeeding mama’s since it mimics the breast and makes them suck instead of just pouring out!
  7. Angelcare baby bath- This little bath tub is inexpensive and works great! For us we like to travel a lot so taking this along makes it so easy. It’s small and you just place it in the bath anywhere!
  8. Boppy Original Newborn Lounger- My little guy loves this thing! We have it on our couch and I use it to read him books, play with him and or just have him lounge while he plays with his toes haha!
  9. Baby Bijorn Carrier- A lot of carriers are hard to put on, I don’t know why they make it difficult but some are just a nightmare! This baby carrier is easy to put on and off. This carrier saved my life! I mean my baby does not like to nap in his bed, so what do I do? Put on the baby carrier and have him nap while I get few things done.
  10. DockAtok- I know that they are pretty pricey, but it is so worth it! You can have your newborn nap on the couch while you can keep an eye on them, while you’re doing something in the kitchen or around the house! It helped us a lot in the beginning.
  11. And the last thing, I would say is get a nice compact stroller because you will use it a lot. We have the Nuna Mixx and I use it at the grocery store, to go on walk, restaurants, pretty much all the time!

Favorite Target items

Hey guys! This post is for all my Target lovers! I mean who doesn’t love Target? I go to Target during my baby’s nap time. You know why? Well my baby is not the best sleeper yet and he loves to sleep either in a stroller or on me! So what do I do? Go to target and spend an hour walking around searching for my new favorite items or finding something on a great deal! Which leads me here, these are some of my few favorite items that I love and I hope you’ll love to!

  1. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer $7.99. I love this concealer! I know that people rave about the Tarte concealer right now but for me it doesn’t work very well and it dries out underneath my eyes! But this Maybelline concealer has been my favorite for a long time and is always my go to! I even used it on my wedding day!
  2. Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Gloss $4.69. This is my everyday go to lipgloss! I use the color “Blushing Belgraves”. I love it! I think I have a few in my purse right now! I actually used this lip gloss for my engagement photos!
  3. Maybelline Dream BB Cream $7.49. I use this on a daily when I just want light coverage, it’s my daily go to!
  4. Milani Stellar Highlighter Palette $10.99. This highlighter is my absolute favorite! I can’t say enough how much I love it! I use it for my cheeks but also my eyeshadow! If you’re looking for a highlighter give this one a try, you wont be disappointed!
  5. No7 Lash Extender Mascara $8.99 is a great mascara to separate your lashes but also make them look very full.
  6. L’Oreal paris infallible pro matte foundation $10.49. This foundation is a great everyday foundation if you don’t want to splurge on a foundation. I love it and it is also one of my go to.
  7. A New Day Women Slim Tank Top $8.00. This tank tops are my go to tank tops! They are great quality and are so comfortable. I have them in 5 different colors! One of my favorite basics!
  8. Wild Fable Quilted Women’s Jacket $35.00. This jacket is actually a free people dupe! Its way cheaper and just as comfy!
  9. Universal Thread Aubrie Heeled Boots $39.99. They are so cute and trendy right now for winter, it has become one of my favorite pair of boots!
  10. Wild Fable Women’s Waffle Knit set starting at $14.99. Okay so we all know that waffle clothing is in right now and this set is so cute and so comfy.
